Young Man Wanted for Mowing

Despite this being 1855, it is possible that the "Young Man" wanted by the advertiser was someone who could mow using a scythe rather than by using a lawnmower.

    NEW AND CHOICE PLANTS, which he feels sure will give every satisfaction. Geraniums, Ericas, Azaleas, very fine, 9s. per dozen. Fuchsias, Cinerarias, Dahlias, 6s.; Calceolarias, fine plants, in 48's, showing for flower, Gs. Hardy herbaceous plants, 48. to 6s. Also, a large collection of Verbenas; and all the most useful bedding plants, 2s. 6d. to 4s. per dozen.

    W. B. J. recommends the following superior assortments, his own selection, 100 well established, fine, healthy plants, 1; 50 ditto, 10s. 6d. ; 25 ditto, 5s. 6d.

    P. S.-WANTED,-A YOUNG MAN, from 16 to 20 years of age, A good Mower would be preferred. It would be a permanent situation, and an excellent chance for a Young Man who wishes to improve him- self.
