James Ferrabee & Charles Whitmore's Patent No 2716, dated 26 October 1857, covered "Improvements applicable to machinery for carding, scribing and condensing wool and other fibrous substances."
Ferrabee continued to innovate and produce new machinery for the cloth industry even when the popularity of the lawnmower was growing.
