Original Photograph of c1858 Green's Lawnmower

This photograph from c1858 shows a Thomas Green of Leeds lawnmower. It is one of the earliest photographs of a Greens lawnmower known to exist.

The Greens advertisements from 1857 and 1858 respectively are included here for comparison with the photograph. It can be seen that the lawnmower in the photograph has the same plain draw handle as the 1858 illustration whereas the 1857 illustration shows a draw handle with decorative scrolling on the sidearms. Another difference between the 1857 and 1858 drawings (and presumably the lawnmowers themselves) is that the main drive gear and large intermediate gear have swapped sides.
