Site of London Horticultural Society Gardens at Chiswick
On 5 June 1858 lawnmower trials were held at The London Horticultural Society's site in Chiswick. This location has often been misreported as being at The Duke of Devonshire's home, Burlington House. The gardens were actually to the north west.
The Royal Horticultural Society left the 33 acre site around 1904 and it is now housing.
