The Old Church of St Laurence

Engravings, photographs and prints on the wall inside St Laurence's Church in Stroud illustrate the 15th century church that was mostly demolished (except for the tower and steeple). John Ferrabee's father Edward was a non-conformist, but John was originally buried in the parish church graveyard in 1853. His grave was later moved to Stroud Cemetery. Council Records show that James Ferrabee - John's son - purchased six plots in the new cemetery for family members.
