Inside the Phoenix Ironworks, 1911
This photograph dated 1911 shows workers inside The Phoenix Ironworks, Thrupp. The captions note a wedding celebration. At this time the mill was under the ownership of George Waller, whose tenure of the works lasted just over 100 years. The buildings in John Ferrabee & Edwin Budding's day were not of corrugated steel: the site buildings were altered, rebuilt, and repurposed gradually over time.
