Museum in The Park, Stroud
The Museum in the Park in Stroud is the cultural epicentre of the lawnmower.
The museum has a number of exhibits related to the invention of the lawnmower. These include a 12in Ferrabee Improved, No. 7508, made c1858 and a 19in Ferrabee Improved, No 8043, made by the Phoenix Iron Works Company in 1863. Also on display is the model of the Budding Patent Lawnmower, made around 1840. There are also several exhibits related to Ferrabee, Budding, and the Phoenix Iron Works.
Related exhibits include an original c1830 Lewis Patent Cross Cutter.
