Phoenix Ironworks, Thrupp in 1901

By 1901 the original Thrupp Mill building that John Ferrabee took over in 1828 and the small extension to the east of it had been demolished. Presumably, an old mill building with small rooms and low ceilings with an irregular plan was no longer practical for modern industrial usage.
