Cast Iron Colonnade at The Shambles, Stroud

No foundry mark can be seen on this covered arcading in Stroud. John Ferrabee made high quality precision castings at his Phoenix Ironworks at Thrupp, so it is possible these were produced there. The pillars and spandrels are certainly reminiscent of the fire-proof internal supports used in mill buildings.
