Port Mill, Brimscombe

In the 1860s James Ferrabee and Edward Thomas Fox were in partnership here. Edwin Budding, being of the previous generation, knew the mills of Brimscombe and the canal port very well. Port Mill had a variety of owners and leaseholders over the years. It was consolidated with the historic mill buildings kept and later "modern" additions demolished.

At the time of this photograph the derelict grounds of the former port site were in the process of redevelopment.
