The Hamlet of Edge

Edwin Budding's father-in-law lived at Edge, at that time a hamlet between Pitchcombe and Painswick. Like most hilly Cotswold wool and broad weavers villages, Edge is still a sparsely populated spread out hamlet, although was given its own church in 1865.

Edge can be reached by following the road from St Mary's Church in Painswick.
