Phoenix Ironworks Site From Front

Current view of the Phoenix Ironworks site, from the front. Several leets from the River Frome fed the waterwheels of the various mills as it passed through here. Many of these have been fully or partially filled.

As seen from the Stroud to Cirencester road from the lane to Bagpath, rhe original Thrupp Lower Mill was in the carpark of present-day Impcross Limited, behind the fence line. The buildings occupied by Impcross Limited are post-Budding era and from George Waller's period.
