The Rivers Mill

George Lister set up his company at Rivers Mill, just outside Dursley on the Uley Road.

Edwin Budding had jointly patented improvements to the carding machine with Lister.

Rivers Mill later became Mawdsley's and, apart from the mill pond and sluice which remain, the site is now a modern housing estate.
