Old Fulling Stock Cam Wheels by Thames and Severn Navigation
These two wheels came from fulling stocks that were removed from Cam Mill, near Dursley. The ones that John Ferrabee removed in 1828 when he took over the full lease of Thrupp Mill would have been identical.
Around this time, Edwin Budding had a residency at Thrupp Mill while manufacturing his Pepperbox Pistols and this could have been in one of the former fulling rooms.
The Canals Trust is planning to widen the canal between the two fulling wheel cams to allow narrow boats to turn.
