1834 Electoral List: Two Buddings Mentioned
Two Buddings are listed in the 1834 electoral roll for Gloucestershire. William Beard Budding is listed as living in Bourne and George Budding at Alvin Street in Gloucester. John Ferrabee is listed as a voter in Stroud. There is also a voter named William Beard in the town.
At this time only affluent men - typically those owning property or those paying rent of at least £10 a year - could vote, many of these as a result of the Reform Act two years earlier.
