Edwin Budding and John Ferrabee Sign Articles of Indenture

On 18 May 1830, Edwin Budding and John Ferrabee entered into a partnership to create the lawnmower. Six months before Budding's Patent No. 5990, the two men had signed an indenture written and witnessed by Arnold Merrick of Querns Lane (later Road), Cirencester.

Merrick later wrote a testimonial to Budding's Mower in The Gardeners Magazine by J.C.Loudon in 1832.
