Chalford Place
Originally built c1600, once the House for Bliss Mill, where the small mill building as featured in Edwin Smith's 1852 painting "A Chalford Mill" can be seen. This building has also previously been a pub called "The Company's Arms". Edwin Budding lived for a while in Chalford, it is said working as a carpenter. His two daughters were baptised in Chalford, so this building would be virtually the same in appearance as 200 years ago when Budding knew it.
