Junction Bridge House at Saul Junction

The Gloucester and Berkeley Shipping Canal - commonly called The Sharpness Canal - was completed in 1827 and cut through the Stroudwater Canal. Later in the 19th century, a Thomas Beard was lock keeper at Framilode Lock, nearby.

Junction Bridge House is on a restored section where the two canals cross. There is a cast iron swingbridge at the junction.
