Site of Thrupp Upper Mill Today

The Thrupp Upper Mill building was located where the brick building currently occupied by Howard Tenens now stands. The building is in the centre-left of this photograph, partly obscured by trees and George Waller's extensions to The Phoenix Ironworks are behind it. The location of the grey steel Stroud Brewery building in the right foreground was meadow in Budding's time and until the middle of the 20th century when it became a car park.
