St. George's Church, Kings Stanley

King's Stanley is just south of Stonehouse with the Stroudwater Navigation separating the parishes. The village for centuries had been associated with the cloth trade. Like most churches in the area, tombs of wealthy clothiers populate the graveyard. John Ferrabee married Hester Baker here in 1816. A few Baker family tombs can still be found in the churchyard.
