Kennan and Sons Premises
Kennan & Sons was founded in Dublin in around 1780. The company was originally a lawnmower agent for Thomas Green of Leeds as noted in a Green's advertisement in The Gardeners Chronicle of the 9 July 1859.
However, it produced a lawnmower of its own design with a novel tilt action grass box emptying system which was displayed at the International Exhibition at South Kensington, London in 1862.
The business continued until the 1980s and the site can be seen here.
