Budding Patent Retailer - Young & Spence of Shrewbury

Young & Spence is recorded 1846 as an agricultural implement maker in The Agricultural Magazine and Journal of Scientific Farming.

The earliest mention of the business retailing Budding's Mowers is in John Ferrabee's Advertisements in The Gardeners Chronicle from 19 May 1849. In Williams's Manufacturers' Directory, for London and Principal Market Towns, published in 1864 they are listed as iron & brass founders and ironmongers at Canal-Wharf, Shrewsbury.
