Collection, Preservation and Display of Old Lawn Mowers

Hello, I'm David, I live in south Northants, and am a recently retired owner of a one man garden machinery business.

I never had a lot of room for really old stuff that I would never have the time to display etc., so didn't keep really old stuff that came my way for long.

I've always had a soft spot for villiers engines though, whether in bikes or mowers and still have a few knocking about.

What I can supply are a few true stories and reminiscences of machines and owners in the thirty odd years I traded. Plus a few parts I still have about my place.

I have most of an American I believe 'Edge R Right' two stroke lawn edging machine which was fitted with a Lawson (under license from Aspera) two stroke engine with reed valve induction.

I had until recently a British made Flexa push machine, a flywheel for a Qualcast two stroke hedge trimmer I believe, a blue fuel tank with gold lettering, something about two horsepower etc. all interesting stuff, to me, anyway.

A few conversation pieces to start, I hope.
