Hi All,

I don't know if anybody has seen this on eBay

Take care, re-read the description, the headline details are mis-leading, they were introduced in 1897, this example is a later version, they were produced until around the early 1930's. The description even intimates this if the seller had taken time to read it before they copied & pasted it from this the club website,

They are not particularly rare, I sold one recently with a good grassbox for £55 & would certainly let you have an earlier one for much less than half that price, many have changed hands in recent times for £20 to £50 depending on condition.

Please don't waste your money.

Three cheers Clive for pointing this out, I had exactly the same thought. As you say they are not that rare, to the extent that I have a couple of damaged examples for spares, which interested readers might like to bear in mind.

I get increasingly irritated by self appointed experts on THAT site who clearly know nothing about what they are hoping to sell, consequently have no idea as to it's value and no insight as to it's market. There are a number of similarly daft listings currently and it doesn't only apply to vintage lawnmowers. More than once have I seen old veterinary equipment listed as a vintage garden tool !

Careful research is a wonderful thing, whether buying or selling.
