I have just purchased a 1955 Atco 14” mower. My first & loving it. Non starter so I’ve stripped it down rebuilt it but no spark ☹️

Tested the Condenser, Points & Coil. All OK except the coil (with the aid of a multimeter) only has a decent reading on one of the (2nd or  primary) & the other very little reading. 
I’m going to renew the Points & condenser regardless but can only find a slightly shorter coil (which apparently is OK)

Any feedback for other suggestion would be appreciated.

There have been a couple of posts from people who have used the shorter coils by making up extensions to the core to secure the coil between the pole pieces with a satisfactory result.
