Clutch pads Ransomes Marquis

Hi , want to fit new clutch pads to my 20inch Marquis 4a with Sloper engine. Have managed to remove the old but the new seem very tight and havent managed to get them to fit in the sprocket. Have searched the site and cant srem to find any posts regarding fitting them.
