• Annual Rally 2022: This Weekend

Our Annual Rally is being held at Milton Keynes Museum this weekend and we are expecting a bumper turnout of members. Although we held a small-scale event in October this will be our first "proper" Annual Rally since 2019. You can find out more about the rally elsewhere on our site.

This year we are celebrating the centenary of Atco and JP, two of the best known and successful manufacturers of the 20th century. The centenary was actually last year but we are including it in this year's event so that our members have a proper chance to recognise these significant anniversaries. Many of our members have examples of these manufacturers' machines in their collections and we will be featuring them over the weekend as our main rally themes.

The third theme of the weekend is mowers with a royal connection to mark HM The Queen's Platinum Jubilee this year. If you're coming to the event, look out for mowers with names such as Monarch, Royal Blade, Marquis, or Windsor. Many manufacturers also supplied their machines under a Royal Warrant, so look out too for mowers with royal crests as part of their decoration.

This morning we have learned that there is a fourth reason to celebrate at Milton Keynes. The town - which has always called itself the "New City" - has finally achieved that status officially following the announcement by the Government. The Museum has been telling the story of Milton Keynes and the surrounding area for almost 50 years and becoming one of Britain's newest cities is now part of that history. We'll be helping the Museum celebrate its own milestone next year.

We hope to see you at Milton Keynes Museum this weekend.

  • Forthcoming Minor Mods to Site Menus

As part of our ongoing site revamp we will be making a few minor changes to the main menu structure at the end of February. First, the "Join" link currently in the main menu will be moved to the "Club" menu. Second, the "Forum" link currently in the main menu will be moved to the "Collect" section. This will help keep the main menu links tidier when viewed on screens of all types.
