bent cylinder cutter blade

Enter a word or two to search the forum section and click the Search Forum button.

I ran over an allen key (very hard steel) in the grass with my Atco Commodore B20 and bent a blade on the cutter cylinder. The lower blade seems to have survived but the cutter blade is about a millimeter proud of the lower cutter, preventing the cylinder from turning. How best to treat this to get the machine mowing again? If I can work out how to attach a photo of this I will.

Any ideas or know-how about this welcome.   Many thanks....

Chances are that the blade is twisted and need to be bent back. Cylinder out of machine , Adjustable spanner and big hammer. Then it will need re-grinding  to true it up with the other blades. And while you're about it, get the bottom blade skimmed.
