Hi gents .

Is the a trick to getting the chain cover on . As the cover will not go on Square 

so the stud is slightly off , not allowing the threaded screw / screw thread to ine

up dead flush there is a small kink in the bottom of the case near the bed knife

If the cover or the stud has been knocked about a bit, particularly if the spacer has gone missing allowing sideways movement, they can be a bit of a fiddle to line up. It may help if you offer up the cover but before you start locating it over the back plate locate the cover screw onto the stud by a couple of threads, then push the cover right on and do up the screw. 

Alternatively, push the cover right on and with the aid of a torch look through the screw orifice and observe the position of the stud in relation to it. Then remove the cover and gently adjust its alignment.
