I have some questions as I've never restored anything before.

Do you wire brush the nuts and bolts up so they look newish again?

Is the silver cover supposed to be painted or an aluminium finish?

Are my selection of flappy discs good to clean up all the heavier corroded parts?

Can I refurbish the cylinder myself or is that best to be sent off and dipped?

I also need the following parts if anyone can help.

Part 50 Carriage left hand

Part 35 Setscrew scraper

Hortimech i did close the 3mm gap to nothing knowing it would still move a bit, there is a 1mm gap now and mowing the laminate flooring it seems fine.

Picked my other 2 cylinders up today so have 2 more ready to assemble, will see how they go. This time ill try not to make the same mistake of having each roller on the wrong side so it wouldnt drive the cylinder. I still have no idea how to check if there is a left and right.

I have a problem! Land roll spins freely, cylinder spins freely but pushing it on the lawn the rear roller just locks up,  the main cog also is proud of the other gears. Does the position of the roller on the spindle affect how far the main gear sits away from the back guard?
